Vintage Girl

Two posts ago I posted that my sister and I were headed to Monterrey, Mexico for a girl's retreat called Vintage Girl. Well, we had a great trip, and God worked mightily in all of our lives.

The first afternoon of the retreat I had the privileged of speaking to the girls about overcoming discouragement. It was a big step for me to speak, but God showed me that it's not about me at all, it's about God and how he worked through my life. I knew that if I opened up to the girls then they would be more open to listening. So, I shared about really discouraging and difficult things in my life that I could only overcome with God's strength. At the end of the last session there were 30 girls who came up to Cristina--the girl who started Vintage Girl--and told her that they had gotten saved. It was such a sweet time of tears, prayer, and praising God for what he had done.
So, thank you all so much for those of you who were praying for us. God was with us the whole time. I wouldn't trade that trip for anything, and I can't wait to go back! :D
